SPAIN, A STEP FORWARD TO DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY

Amsterdam becomes another year the Broadcast capital from 12th to 16th September,
with the International Broadcasting Convention, IBC 2008. Once again, AETIC coordinates
the Spanish companies which will be exhibiting in The Netherlands to launch the
latest innovations of the Spanish Technology in the field of Broadcast.
29 Spanish firms will show during five days their latest products in Broadcast,
equipment and auxiliary services. Last year, more than 46.000 people from different
countries of all Europe - especially Western Europe and Scandinavia - United States,
Asia and Latin America visited the exhibition. The number of visitors at the Spanish
Pavilion meant 2 million euro according to forecasted commercial agreements in 2008.
Aware of the importance of this show within the strategy of the Spanish technology
foreign promotion, AETIC with the support of the Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade
(ICEX) organizes the Spanish Collective Pavilion in the exhibition.
The lead Technology for Life will reinforce the international perception of high
quality and competitiveness of the Spanish products and solutions. The distribution
of Spanish firms over the 14 halls at IBC is a sign of the capacity of the Spanish
Industry, whose technology offer meant turnover near to 1.300 million euro and exports
over 700 million euro in 2007. These figures show the growth of the sector and highlight
the Spanish market innovation capacity, with good international perspectives for
the future.
